If you want to make changes in the existing law, we have to do far more than a letter campaign. In the coming months, there maybe opportunities where we can try provisions and bills as we see any progress on immigration reform initiatives. Lobbying effort for big changes will have to be huge.

The most important work we can do at this time is to increase our numbers. We must get as many high skilled immigrants on H1B, EAD, F1, J1, H4 etc visas under Immigration voice. Once we have good support, we can try to work on various projects that helps everyone. We must try to spread the word about immigrationvoice on various forums, websites, communities etc and seek everyone's participation.

Everyone seems to indicate that the checks for fees payment to the INS need to be made out to USCIS, however, all the forms that I've downloaded from their website instruct that the payments be made out to Department of Homeland Security - which one is correct?

    Quick question.

IV has asked for 2 copies, one to the President and one to IV. Couple of questions on that.

    1) Does the letter addressed to the President need to be in a seperate stamped envelope?
    2) What is the reason behind 2 copies?

I think you need to send an email via vonage account to refer someone and the system automatically gives your account a credit when the other person signs up. Dont know if you can give a phone # and say that MR ABC should get the benefit of 'refer a friend'

You will. Agent will get info. I did last time over the phone and gave my friend reference. then we both got 2 months free.

    I am the later...

This is my last post in this regards.

Solution of frustration is not destructive thinking which you are doing. Grow up.

May be you might have supported previous IV campaigns. I urge you to keep supporting them instead of going anything crazy like what you are planning.

Finally if you have reasons to believe some firms are gaming the system then report them. That is American way of doing things.

Nothing is void, unless the application(i485) is denied. If we compare Oct 2010 inventory with Jan 2011 inventory we see changes in monthly pending cases before 01/01/2006.

DOS look for approvable cases in a particular month, as opposed to USCIS look at overall pending cases.:)

The bottom line is how one is interpreting the data/information available? We really don't know how DOS is interpreting USCIS pending inventory when publishing their demand data.

I strongly doubt your argument. For the past six months , Demand data before Jan1st,2006 stayed zero for EB2 I/C. If USCIS thinks one of those pre 2006 cases are approvable then we would see this reflect in DOS demand data.

At the end of the day, whatever data that is listed in Demand data is all that matters. Since it is the only determining factor for setting VB dates and nothing else

    How can you confirm this?
Police solved the Duke case partially that it's robbery case.
    Don't come to conclusions yourselves..

On top of these issues, apparent hate crimes against Indians at LSU and then at Duke would certainly make a lot of parents a little nervous before sending their kids for higher education here.

What are you showing hunter here? American hipocracy & bigotry in full light? How is your culture any good with what you have posted?
Oh, did that comment on Brahma and Saraswati incest hurt you? tsk, tsk, tsk.. too bad.

Well, you should have read and responded to the comment before that before pretending to be hurt about my response. I didn't start it.

If you are ready to make such bigoted comment, NEVER expect that you can get away that. Believe me, internet is limitless and I can shovel dirt about India in this forum, if I want to with a google search(which is not my intent here)

I have a WAC number and petition approved in Feb 07. Stuck here for 1 month, 18 days and counting. I called DOS and didn't receive a positive response. Will try calling KCC tomorrow.

Good luck to you.. I understand it is really frustrating... and they don't really care for us.

if more people post their details then we might be able to conclude something.. there are always exceptions so it is very difficult to figure out.. (well, it might be possible that there is no pattern but if we get more details of more cases then we can think something... after all we can't do anything apart from this ... )

One idea is to give GC to AOS applicants regardless of namecheck result, if all
other security checks are OK and let the namecheck run in background . If the namecheck turns out critical , cancel the GC & deport the applicant.
But USCIS and lawyers will loose big time , because of reduced demand for APs,EADs etc.

Still waiting, a July 2 filer, for CC or receipts. What do these weekly updates by USCIS suggesting that they are through for receipts for dates in August mean when July 2 filers are still waiting. Anybody got any clue??

sledge hammer ...... less "hathoda" please.

Punjabi, foreclosure is legal in the US. If necessary, you've gotto go for it. Others on this thread have given good advice. Especially, figure out what the downsides of foreclosure is. Just figure out if it will be difficult to rent in the future if you declare foreclosure. Rest, do what is financially good for you. Hope things work out for you.

The OP could try contacting the manager of the HR regarding the EAD thing before getting lawyered up. Clearly the policy, doubt there is one, violates whats stated on I-9. You are not asking CapitolOne for any sponsoring of GC. What if you are a derivative holding an EAD? Did they know that when they decided to quote this "policy" of theirs? Doubtful.

Do we suppose to send I-130 with I-485 application? I have re-filed for my self and my wife for I-485 based on approved I-140 EB2 Employment. Please let me know.
My application filed on July 2 was rejected (NSC->CSS) saying missing I-140 I797 approval even though it was attached.
    Thanks a lot.

If these are pending 485 applications at USCIS, Number of pending applications with PD later than JUL 2007 should be zero.

If these are labor filings, they probably dont include dependents.

If you get different A#s then definitely there is a possibility of delays in the application.
I am not sure what happens with namechecks. Need to research further. My guess is you will have double chances of getting stuck in namechecks! This assumption is based on the fact that multiple filers need to undergo fingerprinting and background checks multiple times and thus chances of getting stuck in namechecks must also increase for them.
