How about Mexico? I saw some notes on tavle.state.gov (Mexico (http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/cis/cis_970.html)), which says -
"As of May 1, 2010, non-U.S. citizens with valid U.S. visas may enter Mexico with the U.S. visa, and do not have to obtain a Mexican visa. "

As of May 1st, 2010, no visa is required to travel to Mexico as long as you have a valid visa or AP to return back to the US. We flew to Cancun on May 14th 2010 with our AP and were there for a week. We had no issues either in Mexico or on our arrival back into the US.

reliable source says July applications will be accepted until July end and everything will be current in August bulletin also.
reliable source - lawyer knows someone on---

That's the key word here. ....I don't believe in "reliable" sources. I need to see the outcome.

USCIS is going to make a PDF file and put it on the web site for 24 hours. Anyone who has Adobe Acrobat Reader can pull it, print it and that becomes his green card...Officially this will start on 8/1/2007

On 7/31/2007, USCIS will send out a revised bulletin that............the server which hosts this PDF file has lost its internet connection, it can only upload 50 KB of data and USCIS used that in the month of July so.....you can imagine.

Everyone, smile, I am sure we will have a great weekend this time.

Okay I liked code, contagious, and serif. Serif has my favorite palette of colors. Love the detail in the contagious one. Background is a little bland though. I voted for code though. Has the same colors I like.

All I got to say is Timmy Tots would have won. I can picture it now. Pixel font in the middle of a canvas. Can't compete with that. Maybe even a neon font on a black background. I should have competed in this.

I have the same issue. My wife I-94 was issued based on her passport expiry date and not on her I-797 expiry date. I called up my attorney and she told that the best way to deal with this issue is to travel out of the country. If anybody had renewed it without making a travel, please post here.

    [QUOTE=gc_dreamer_485;180725]Hi Folks,
I had been to canada to get my Visa stamped for my 7th in March'07. At the time i was entering United States, the immigration officer did not issue the I-94 to the validity of visa since my passport was expiring on Oct 27th 2007...

It seems like except for one or two people here, individuals who have applied directly at TSC on 2nd July are getting their checks cashed/receipts this week.

It would be helpful to know if they are done with the transfer of 2nd July cases from NSC to TSC; if so, when and based on that, we can make some educated estimates.

"Representative Elton Gallegly (R-CA) introduced H.R. 133, Citizenship Reform Act of 2007, which would limit citizenship by birth to children born to at least one permanent resident or citizen parent."

Does this mean that if we do not have green cards our childern born here are not citizens. Am I understanding it right..

When you want ride in a bus, you have to buy a ticket. I hope everyone agrees - at least that is the legal way :). The ticket to ride on the "Omni Bus" needs millions of dollars not thousands. Thousands lets you look inside the bus, not ride it.

LETS MARCH TO A MILLION! LETS BUY OUR OWN TICKET!

Please visit the funding thread. There you will find words of wisdom and words of inspiration for all of us.

Kondur, based on your signature, you have 3 active applications in the system. I understand EB1A, thats you sponsering yourself and no labor needed. EB2 with PD 02/08 is employer filed with PERM and I140 and whole nine yards. if I understand it right, EB2 NIW is also something an employer should sponser (or atleast help you with some documentation) and you file I-140 directly like EB1A. I know parallel applications are OK and EB2-NIW or EB1A are surely faster. but is there any reason behind that many applications at same time (other than increasing your probability of atleast one going thru?)..

    EB2 India PD 2/08
    EB1A: I 140 filed: July 2009. Pending
    EB2 NIW: I 140 filed: July 2009. Pending

Got the approval notice today :) "Welcome to the United States of America" - ironically i have been in this country for a decade now! finally the "welcome" :)

It has been a very long journey!!! and a very frustrating one for the last few years... but the feeling that I now get is really liberating... first thing I did was thanked God for ending the seemingly endless wait that me and my wife (she didn't care as much) were in.

I'm already thinking of the things I want to do after this new found liberation... it includes showing the middle finger to those who have taken undue advantage of my status  :D and i'm not taking it anymore... I'll be a new person starting Monday!

Just so there is no confusion... my PD was Feb 2003 EB3 but my wife's PD was EB2 April 2004... we got our freedom through her application. If anyone needs more info on how/what/when - i can share that (it had its up's and downs - mainly downs, but all's well that ends well)!

Lastly as a token of my real support to the cause of IV I will be donating a small amount. I have donated in the past... I have participated in conversations in the past... I was not so active on other fronts but I truly believe in this organizations effort to help the community. And God willing each one of you will get this freedom soon! God Bless!

Many congratulations..enjoy your freedom and don't forget IV ! :-)

I just read in Murthy.com that if a H1B is terminated and the same company wants him back they have to pay the entire salary for the period he was out of job. (google H1B employers obligations) So i think that won't be your case. You should be on EAD.

When you are on EAD they need not inform USCIS. There is no need for you to join your old company back.

Lots of people are in this situation. Without a GC your professional life is screwed and with a GC your family life. Good Luck.

I totlaly agree with this. I am single too with PD DEC 2006. I have been in present job for almost 4 years. I ended up working for a non-profit oragnization on a non-cap H1b, which prevents me from transfering to private companies which need caped h1b( i din't knew about this when I took up the non-profit organization job). The only way for me to get into private company is to get a new H1b under cap which starts from Oct 2008. This time I planned properly and got an H1b approved. But to my shock and surprise EB2 dates moved to June 2006. I am now carefully watching the September EB2 dates. If it gets closer to Dec..I need to pull back the 485 as I don't think I can get marreid within 6 months due to family responsibality back home. If I withdraw my 485 application, I will lose the queue, money and since I plan to change job, the only benift I will be taking with me , is the PD date which I can later transfer if my next empyer does my GC. With a 2.5 year h1b left, I am hoping under worst situation, my next emplyer will sponcer my GC. This whole GC process is a pain in ***...!!!!
