I have the exact same questions. Could some one please answer these.

1. On application form I-765, Question No 11.Have you ever file for EAD?
I have mentioned it as "Yes" (I have applied for my OPT)

Hi ,
My priority date is March 26th 2006 and current for month of September.

PD has no effect on filing a civil action as visa bulleting is changing every month. My friend in Oregon got I-485 approval after filing Wom even though his PD is not current on the latest visa bulletin.
I thought uscis generally followed 'first-in-first-out' rule. That is one reason I-485 receipt notices never show PD. Am I right?

Vonage's cancellation early termination charge is $39.99 + Some admin charges = $45.
The $100 you are talking about is when you sign up and also ask for the router from vonage. what I did was went to craigslist and bought the vonage router for $15 and signed up for vonage. They sent the cancellation policy and charges by email which is somewhere between $40-$45.
I was earlier their customer when moved from vonage to T-mobile @Home. After a little argument they waived off the early termination charges and now because of the good customer service I joined them back. As by joining I got a free month of phone service as well.
I would say the reps on the other side also human being and depends on how one goes on to put up their point in the most polite manner without hurting anyone or anything in the process and results are always fruitful if the conversations are driven the right way.
Overall for me to make calls and recieve calls without any hassle is the key and I think vonage is pretty good at it. Moreover they moved their customer care I think moved back in US from phillipines as this time the conversation was smooth and didn't have to repeat the sentence again or didn't have to ask to say again.
Also I don't care if any competitor comes up with a $2 less + some more feature. Quality is the key and I think vonage beats everyone in that. I had a tough time fixing up my fax machine wiht sun rocket once upon a time and cancelled my service with them for that reason.
Vonage has a contract of 1 year. Have to pay around $100 if you break the contract.
Lingo has a contract for 2 years. Will have to pay a similar contract break fee for Lingo as well.

Does anyone have an answer or idea as to the job title employer verification letter question ? I didn't see any response as yet so I thought I'd repost the question. So far I've only seen some suggestions on other forums that suggest filing anyways without the letter and waiting for an RFE which might then coax the employer to do the necessary then, waiting for I-140 to be approved and then filing with W-2's (or paystubs -- I don't recall) or waiting 180 days, filing without the letter, switching to a new employer after the 180 days pass and then submitting the new employer's letter.
I think you can go ahead to the HR and just ask for a letter stating that your position xxxx is still available for you and that you are paid xxxx. If not, you may receive a RFE for the letter. I have seen some people not getting a RFE for letters if they attached most recent pay stubs showing they are paid prevailing wage.
This is the letter I got for support of my I485:
Please be advised that Mr. XXXXXX is currently employed by our company. He has been employed with us since XXXXX.
His position is that of a XXXXXXXXX. His annual salary is $XXXXX per year. The position of XXXXXXXXXXXX is still available for him. We intend to continue with the permanent residency process on his behalf at this time, according to all of the terms and conditions set forth in the approved PERM application. I checked on the USCIS website, they show that Texas and Nebraska are processing Sep/Oct 2006 cases. How can one gauge a typical processing time at USCIS for 485 applications? Any clues?

My LC is approved 2 days back (Filed - May 17, Approved - May 25) I didnt know this happens so fast. We have not yet received the cetitified documents from the department so I dont know whether its EB2 or EB3.
My lawyer says it is upto the department to decide whether my case comes under EB2 or EB3? Is this right?
Now we plan to file the I-140 in June 07. Should I go for premium processing right from the first time? My company is ready to do this. But someone said on one of these websites that this creates a suspicion in the minds of the department. I dont know how true this is?
I am thinking to opt for Consular Processing. What do you recommend on this?

In effort to make legislators and people aware of legal immigration issues, we should take help of media.This would be most effective.
Hiring a lobbying firm to pursue our issues with legislators is a good idea but it should be accompanied with media awareness as well.This is money intensive project and it will take time to reach its target of 100k.We need some other channel of awareness open as well and we need to do that soon so that it has some effect on Feb bills.
People are not aware that we are going thru such long waits to get immigrate legally.This issue needs to be highlighted.

While such information helps generate lot of threads, page views and ad revenue for other websites, As an organization we should be cautioning people about this.

Bpositive, thanks very much for the verification. At first, I thought my friend was just scaring me by suggesting the senator/congressman route, but seeing your case now I feel foolish as I should've been doing this in early January. I will check my status tomorrow (monday) with the Delhi consulate once more, and then, if need be (fingers crossed), will talk to my boss in Houston about your suggestions regarding congressman's letter. By the way, what if I call DOS tomorrow and they say the I've been cleared, would it still make sense to have congressman approach them? Too many questions, I know, but I guess you know this feeling. the first contact for the congressman's office is the relevant consulate. so it doesn't hurt. it is a simple process. your boss has to sign a confidentiality release document for you and attach a cover letter. to help your boss, identify the congressman, go to the congressman's website and find out where the forms are, write a draft cover letter etc . you can do this yourself i.e enquire as a constituent just in case you don't want to involve your boss. i think it may be better that it goes through your boss

The total number of applications excluding EB2, EB3 are 7,653.
The total visa's per annum -> 140,000
Considering that there would be more applications during the year from non-retrogressed countries/categories ..it is evident now that there won't be more than 5K such applications. On pessimistic side even if we consider 10K such applications, The visas available for retrogressed EB2 and EB3 should be around 120K this year.
Total pending EB2 is 74,932. So EB2 should be Current for all countries this year.
EB3 should get around 40K visas this year.
Any one disagrees?
I thought each EB category could get upto 28.6% of 140000 = 40000 visas every fiscal year. So if EB1 uses up 5000 and EB2 takes the remaining 35000 and its annual allotment of 40000, EB3 does not get any spillover.
