StuckHere: As a backstop, do you have AP in hand? If yes, my attorney has recommended sending a letter withdrawing your H1-B stamping application to the consulate where you interviewed. Then with a copy of the letter in hand, and with your AP, seek to reenter the US on your own terms... Good luck...
Why you are suggesting to withdraw H1-B stamping application if you have AP in hand?Because as far as I know that you can use AP to re-enter even if your H1B stamping is pending or even denied????

I don't understand where is the conflict here. The website above - ALIPAC - is "Americans for Legal Immigration". From what I read in their website, they want to stop illegal immigration and they support legal immigration. Unless they have a hidden agenda, they should be supporting IV's letter campaign.

Another reason the companies give nowadays is "Unfortunately it is a government project and we cannot accept EAD status" - am baffled as to why they are OK with Green card and not EAD.
No reason. They are lazy and don't want to learn a new thing. The link americandesi provided has an address where we can complain to the govt. Time to act. Things are only going to get worse as the wait time for GC grows.

I am really surprised by the meek response...what is wrong with everyone?? We have just abt 54 letters so far and almost 200 members online right now !!!
If you are reading this but have not written a letter yet, please answer one question for me:
What is the least effort that you can put towards your immigration?
If you cannot write or type a letter, i'm afraid you don't belong to the "Hard working, highly skilled" immigrants that is being referred to in the letter.
Please send me a Private message with your name and deatils and I can write up and post a letter for you....its is actually going to be for me as I am benefitting from this campaign...i don't mind if you get the benefits in the process.
I have the capacity for 3 hand written letters per day...and I am dead serious. We need numbers and a meagre 100 letters are going to get lost amongst thousands of letters that are received at Whitehouse everyday.

You could be stuck because of background/name check. Check my previous postings where I sent a link to one of the documents someone posted when they got is using FOIA. At the time of final approval also some checks are initiated and that could cause delays also.
I got the SLUD on 9/3, 9/4, 9/7 2010. Showing the same message under review.waited all these days hoping for good news.No good news.called c/s(customer service),got response that they only "touched your file on 9/3,but don't have idea what IO did."
Came to US more than 10 Yrs before.still waiting.

Vonage does work with a home security system, but they do no recommend using it for that purpose because then your security system is dependent on the internet to make the call out during an emergency.

I had my H1/4 (wife) stamping 2 days ago at Mumbai. No issues what so ever at Stamping. My discussion with the officer was cordial and friendly.
Went in at 9:00 and out by 10:00. Received stamped PP next day.
All docs OK. No job change after H1 transfer 3 years ago
All those going for H1 stamp do NOT worry. Not sure how one gets PIMS but this is just my account

For those who are wondering about medical exam for pregant spouse. I had medical exam done for my wife (and we are expecting). Doctor decided to take Blood and TB skin test. He also decided to do blood partision exam (which will tell whether you have particular immunization done or not as a child) since we didn't have immunization record. It costed $400 (includes lab fees etc) in IL. He wanted us to come back after 2 days for TB result and after one week for blood test result.

We need some numbers to back this up. I think you are saying EB2 will not become current even with the recaptured number. There is another thread for requesting numbers from USCIS about pending applications per category, per country. So, participate in that campaign as well.
We need the numbers. I would have guessed roughly 50% of pending 500K applications are from India, 50% of that is EB2, so recapture of 200K visas should help.
I am saying Recapture will only help EB2 and not EB3. Bcoz all the recaptured numbers will be used by EB2 first. So EB2 dates will move forward and then people with PD in 2007 and 2008 in EB2 will use up captured numbers and EB3 will still be waiting to get any leftovers.

I cannot ask my colleagues to sepnd 30 minutes on phone, but I can certainly ask them to send e-mails. They helped me during admin-fix letter campaign and they are all US citizens.
Can someone prepare a draft for such e-mail along with all the e-mail addresses and post here?
I can target 15 e-mails by Tuesday.
